I'm making an effort to continue with the game! And its not just an effort its actual work! I've decided though, that I want to put the ideas and plans I have for the game down on the blog here, this way people who are interested in the game have an easy place to go to look for future update potential, as well as become assured that, despite the long breaks in between, this game is not dead, just slow!
Right now I'm working on finishing the Goldstein story line, and the major things I'd like to get done, in order of importance are:
1) I'd like to create Goldstein Inc space. By that of course, I mean making the rooms and people and weaving the location and the characters into the main story line.
2) I'd like to work a little more on Monica and give her character a little more purpose and direction especially after the boardroom encounter and what happens to her.
3) I want to make a system of "hinting" so that the game feels less punishing if you don't know exactly what to do through trial and error. The intention is to keep the game difficulty up, but to sneak in little hints that will guide the play and tell them what to do when they feel lost, IF they're paying attention that is!
4) Clean up! Fix up the bugs and give a little more polish to what I've already gotten done!
If anyone has any comments or suggestions they're more than welcome to leave them, and should anyone wish to donate to the cause they may!

I'm Back!
Alright, so I'm finally back in action after almost a full YEAR of recovering from a fatal hard drive crash. I've got my files back in line, got a new back up drive, re-registered my RAGS subscription, and managed to convert my game over to the latest edition of RAGS. So here is the last version of Corporate Takeover formatted to the latest version of RAGS. Should be able to update this soon and get back on track to making this sucker!
Now that I'm back I think I should probably ask for donations, if you'd like to donate you absolutely may, and your donations will help prevent disasters like this from happening again, or at least make them easier to fix haha!
Thanks for your patience, or lack thereof, and its back to the grind for me!

Polished and Shiny! But No Update
Cleaned up version .1 of Corporate Takeover. There isn't any new content, but a lot of small bugs have been fixed and Jenny's Letter is actually meaningful now (you can't go to the gym without reading it first). Also there are a few more "subtle" hints that you should be going to the gym before the meeting ;)

An Update and a Donate Button
First, I'd to apologize for the late update, I had planned to have it ready by Sunday, but then all hell broke loose in my RAGS designer. Somehow I had doubled the amount of elevator doors in the office just by scrolling through the rooms...then options weren't showing up due to "not enough space", I kept encountering errors where my objects would suddenly disappear from a room despite not even touching anything regarding that room...anyway it was a mess. One that has now been cleaned up! I hope.

Update Incoming!
I've successfully solved a lot of the story issues I was having and now I can release an update as soon as I fill in the story with text, lots and lots of text. This means that, barring any further complications, real life or in game, I'll have a new update to the game up in a week with these new features:
1). Subconscious system
2). Two Encounters that are both winnable and losable
3). A slew of bug and grammar fixes
4). Your first companion, Monica
5). Access to your office and most of the rest of your company

Getting started on the Corporate Takeover
Alright I'm making this blog as an easy, well easiER way of posting updates on the status of my in development RAGS game Corporate Takeover.
There are several things I'd like to do before releasing the next update to the game. Those being:
1). Finish up work on the Prologue.
2). Major bug fixes
3). Minor bug fixes
4). Progress storyline

1). Finish up work on the Prologue.
- Fix up all the bugs and spelling errors and grammar mistakes
- Get all variables up to date with the Prologue's description (Fatigue, Vulnerability, Loyalty, etc)
2). Major bug fixes
- Prevent clothing from being dropped
- Make keys available to use while in Purse
- Fix Car (may need mechanic har har)
3). Minor bug fixes
- Spelling, grammar, punctuation in general game
- Removing/Wearing clothes should change the main display
4). Progress storyline
- Business meeting
- Add in Monica
- Add in Gym
- Add in Fitness Instructor
- Add in ability to not lose first encounter
Once I've finished those I should have a new update ready and upload it.
